Will Work 4 Memories!

My father always said, "If you are going to do something, do it well".

I've built a business on that advice.

This is our recently completed project in Tola, Nicaragua. Please go to our portfolio page to see more pics.

Sawdust Memories now licensed with Lead Certification

Scott Hagg at Sawdust Memories has completed all the necessary training and cretification to be fully compliant with the new rules from the EPA regarding the toxic substance Lead in older homes.

If your home was built prior to 1978 there is a good chance the paint contains lead. Lead has been shown to be very dangerous for children six and younger and for pregnant women. New standards have been set for anyone working in a pre 1978 home with small children or pregnant mothers. This includes anyone, painter, carpenter, plumber, electrican, etc. who disturbs an area six feet square or larger.

The law stipulates that your contractor provide you with an information publication called "Renovate Right" and informs you of your obligations and choices as you remodel. Call Scott if you have any questions as to how this will affect you.

We are weathering these challenging times for the building industy in a number of ways. First, we are continuing to take care of old clients and new with the remodeling of their living and working spaces: new baths, kitchens, windows and anything else we can help them with.

We have also purchased a small commercial building, The Askew Building, and more recently, a duplex nearby to keep our employees and subcontractors busy. Additionally, we are very excited to have built a home overlooking the Pacific coast in Nicaragua. Check out the portfolio section of this page.
